More exciting stuff for the Fiat fans, Grande Punto Abarth is out. Abarth opened their first flagship store ‘Officine Abarth’ in Turin, Italy where the production Abarths can be ordered. Soon this will be joined by a series of exclusive Dealers and 35 retail outlets offering the same environment and services. They’ve released the details of the production Grande Punto Abarth.

The European version of the new 2008 Chevrolet Aveo has been unveiled at the 2007 Frankfurt Auto Show. This one will replace the Aveo hatchback known as Kalos in Europe and Aveo U-va in India. As per Chevy’s press release kalos will be renamed as Aveo and the 5-door hatch will be launched in Europe by march-2008 followed by the 3-door model a few weeks later.

Fiat Grande Punto made its world debut in the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show and is the 3rd generation Fiat Punto. Now, for those of you who don’t know Fiat Punto, it was the car that replaced the ‘antique piece’ we know as Fiat UNO in 1994. As the name suggests Grande Punto is in everyway ‘grande’ to the car it replaced. With a ‘Maserati’-ish face, this car is utterly stylish and screams Italian. It was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro’s Italdesign and was nominated for the 2007 World Car of the Year award.

The Hyundai Getz has got almost everything that a premium hatchback should have, but still could never do well in the Indian market due to its higher pricing. To improve its condition in this class Hyundai gave Getz a facelift and added another engine variant to make it cheaper to buy and named it Getz Prime.
The new Chevrolet Spark has been finally launched in India. Chevy Spark as we all know is the new Daewoo Matiz in its new avatar. It enters the small car segment to take on the Marutis, Tatas & the Hyundais who rule this turf.
